What to expect at Emily Photography is a relaxing, full-service experience. I understand the need for flexibility because let’s face it, life happens and plans can change! From helping you plan your session, supplying wardrobe, to capturing your family moments and turning those moments into precious keepsakes – I can help you every step of the way. 

Pre-Session Consult with Emily

Before you book with me, we can set up a meeting or a phone call to discuss what you have in mind for a session.  We’ll go over my packages and offerings so that you know exactly what to expect at Emily Photography. Getting to know my clients is so important to me! It helps to know who will be at the session so that I can connect with each individual. Forming personal connections with clients helps the overall experience be that much easier and enjoyable for all! My goal is to show genuine connections and emotions through your photographs, and therefore giving you a personalized experience is a priority. I want you to be so comfortable during your session that there is nothing else you have to think about except being in these moments with your family. 

Session Planning at Emily Photography

We don’t have to have just one phone call or meeting in the beginning! We can discuss details multiple times so we both know what to expect for your session with Emily Photography. I can help you plan everything, from the location down to your wardrobe. All clients are welcome into the studio by appointment to browse the wardrobe and props. We can sit and go through my accessories together and plan exactly what you want everyone to wear or use for your session. I know how daunting of a task shopping can be, so I keep my studio stocked with clothes, blankets, and accessories so shopping can be one less item on your checklist! 

What to Expect on Session Day

On the day of your session, you just show up as you are! I’ll work my magic and you enjoy the time with your family. I love to capture those raw and genuine interactions between your family members. There is no pressure to be posed or super structured during the shoot. However, if you want suggestions for certain shots, I am happy to direct you! For the most part, I will follow your lead and snap away while you are making special memories together! My goal is to make the experience easy, fun, and comfortable for all!

Post-Session with Emily Photography

After your session, you can expect your gallery to be completed within 2-3 weeks. Once you receive the gallery from me, I will remind you of your product credit and review my product information with you. You can schedule a meeting to look at samples in the studio or you can order directly online through your gallery as well 🙂 I look forward to seeing what you do with your family photos!
