Being a mom of four and a photographer of so many families year after year has been such a blessing!!! Because my own journey of motherhood has been my driving force, and because I am passionate about getting moms in front of the camera with their kids, I enjoy hosting a Celebration of Motherhood event each year to love on as many moms as I can! Ever since my kids were little, I have been documenting our memories both big and small….their childhood is my motherhood and that is something I want to remember years from now too….and I want the same for you.

Capturing the raw beauty of motherhood at every stage has been a constant reminder of how important it is to cherish these moments. I strive to show the families I photograph, specifically mothers, that there is beauty in it all – from the little giggles to the really big feelings we ALL experience as humans. Motherhood is a constant experience of growth and evolution. Every child’s new milestone is the mother’s as well, which deserves to be remembered and honored. Our motherhood is the legacy that will live on through our children forever.

I’ve loved pouring myself into the Celebration of Motherhood event each year. I have loved dreaming up every backdrop – from creating a giant floral hoop, growing my garden full of beautiful blooms, hot-gluing flowers to fishing line, to transporting a full-sized bed into a field (LOL…you should have seen the looks I got!). This year I’m hand painting a backdrop….and there will also be flowers of course….stay tuned!!! It was fun to host two of the events in my own house where I could welcome you into my space as so many of you have done for me, and where my kids and pets were peeking out the windows to say hi to everyone, haha. My Wyckoff NJ natural light studio has also been a perfect space to include everyone rain or shine. Each year I have given everyone a small gift and this past year I loved offering complimentary hair styling from the amazing Cassidy for all of the mamas as well! I’ve welcomed mothers of all ages and stages with the sole purpose of wanting to love on them and make them feel special, and it is truly what I feel called to do in my work with mothers and families!

Being the “Village” ~ A Motherhood Celebration

This year I really want to remember how important it is to “be the village” for one another. I hope to bring a sense of community to all of the mothers I’ve served throughout the years while honoring the legacy they are creating for their children. It’s so important to me to give back to those in need and this year I want to encourage others to do the same!

If you want to attend and receive complimentary photos at the 2025 Celebration of Motherhood, I kindly ask you to give a minimum donation of $25 to New Hope Community Ministries, an organization that serves local families in need, and a ministry that is near and dear to my heart! Your donations can easily be done online here, and then you will show me a copy of your receipt (emilybwilson@gmail.com) so we can add you to the list! 🙂 My goal is to raise $5,000 for them –so follow along with the donation thermometer that will be posted!

Additionally, I will be collecting new baby care and feminine care items if you would like to have your children bring something tangible to give. All of the items will be donated directly to the women and children of New Hope Community Ministries. The 2025 Celebration of Motherhood will be an open house-style event where all of my past, present, and future clients will gather & enjoy light refreshments. I’ll provide complimentary photos for all the mothers and children that attend and make a donation. The event will take place on April 26th between 1:00pm-6:00pm at Zabriskie Pond Park, located at 417 Franklin Avenue in Wyckoff, NJ.
