"Emily!!! These are incredible. I will seriously cherish them forever! Thank you for always capturing our family so beautifully. You are a gift!"

We had the honor of having Emily as our wedding photographer in 2015, although we had both seen her in action before then. After seeing her photos from our loved one's weddings and family shoots and experiencing her laid back approach in action, we loved her style and knew we wanted to work with her. She was a dream to have on our wedding day and made everyone feel comfortable and natural. Not only did she do an amazing job on the day, but I still get compliments on our wedding photos all these years later! We couldn't have been happier with how they turned out. She also did two maternity shoots for us, followed by newborn shoots after both our son and daughter were born. Unsurprisingly, it was such an incredible experience. Emily is not only professional and talented as a photographer, but she puts so much care into planning the session and making sure that you are comfortable. As an example, Emily was gracious enough to flexibly split our first newborn shoot into two days, following the passing of my husband's grandmother. He had to be out of town on the day we originally scheduled, so she offered to come not only on the original day, but again the following week for our family shots so that we could still get all the newborn sweetness of our little boy on camera. This act of kindness and generosity meant so much to us. Both days, she came to our home and gently and sweetly photographed our little one in natural poses. He even gave a big smile for her! Emily makes you feel completely at ease, capturing moments of genuine interaction with your family. She has such a gift for building relationships through her craft, and it is evident in her work.
I can imagine that being the subject of a photographer could be a really uncomfortable feeling for many people, but I've never felt that way with Emily. Most of the time, she is capturing moments, rather than setting up poses. Between friendly conversation, she directs you well in a way that feels natural. You can tell that she is not only passionate and enthusiastic about her job, but also that she is really good at it! I also love that Emily is down for anything. We just love Emily and are so thankful for how she has captured the special moments in our lives. She is a gem!
