I just LOVE photographing families outside! It’s one of my favorite types of sessions. It’s always great because the kids can run around and be themselves– and there is so much beauty to enjoy as well. Who can’t use fresh air, right? You also can’t beat nature’s variety of backdrops! I have done many outdoor family sessions, specifically in Wyckoff, NJ.

Outdoor Family Photos at Gardens of Wyckoff

There is one spot in particular for an outdoor family session in Wyckoff NJ that I have frequented more recently. It’s the Gardens of Wyckoff, which is located on Crescent Avenue. At this location there are a wide variety of plants and flowers, stone & mulch walkways, and even a pond! It’s especially beautiful in the spring and summer months when the flowers are in bloom! The gardens are open to the public every day from dawn until dusk.

I recently had the pleasure of shooting an outdoor family session in Wyckoff NJ at the Gardens. The kids really enjoyed admiring all of the flowers and exploring the garden paths. As a group, we even ventured off the paths to take pictures among the wooded areas surrounding the gardens. This location is the perfect, quiet spot to enjoy nature and take beautiful, meaningful pictures! There is also a lot of space for the kids to roam. It really is a great location for all ages!
